Hemorrhoid Surgery Recovery–What You Need To Know
Hi there,
My name is June and I was exactly in the same position as you right now, wondering what to do during a hemorrhoid surgery recovery. First of all, let me tell you my story and how I ended up with not one but three hemorrhoid surgeries!
Before I had my kids, age 4 and 1, I have a little hemorrhoid due to my constipation problem but it was very small in size, and didn’t flare up so it never bother me. However, that changes after I got pregnant with my first child.
Homeopathic remedy RealHeal sped up my healing after hemorrhoid surgeries.
After I got pregnant, and every woman who was pregnant before knows that pregnancy will take a toll on a woman’s body, including giving you hemorrhoid(s). For me, the hemorrhoid that I had got bigger through the pregnancy and plus I had a second one. After I delivered the baby they got enlarged further due to the pushing during labor. My doctor said that the hemorrhoids will normally shrink after the pregnancy, and to the many lucky women that is exactly what happened, the hemorrhoid shrank after a while.
I was hoping that my hemorrhoids will shrink after I delivered my baby but that did not happened. I used a few kinds of natural remedies I found on the internet to help minimize the size of my hemorrhoids but nothing helped. After many agonizing months of contemplating with the idea of a hemorrhoid surgery, I decided to go with it with my genecologist’s recommendation.
I also used topical Manuka Honey on the wound to help prevent infection.
However, when I managed to see the gastroenterologist surgeon who was supposed to do the hemorrhoid surgery, he suggested that I wait till I have my second baby if I plan on one. The reason was if I had one then I would have to do the surgery again after the second pregnancy if the hemorrhoids came back during the second pregnancy.
So I heeded the surgeon’s advice and waited, but putting off the surgery was agonizing because I hated the way my bottom felt with two lumps on it. It was not only uncomfortable when I was sitting down but also unsightly when I looked at them with a mirror, I no longer felt the same way as before pregnancy. Furthermore, the hemorrhoids would flare up if I pushed too much during a bowel movement, thus they would become swollen for many days afterward.
I had to endure the pain of flare ups and the uncomfortable feelings of two lumps on my bottom, and the shame of having something extra on my anus. I know many of you would rather die than discussing about having hemorrhoid(s) on your anus with your friends because hemorrhoid is such a taboo topic. Everyone who has hemorrhoid is just too embarrassed to talk about it to anyone, so making the person who has it very lonely.
Three years after my first baby I had my second, and when my second was about 10 months old I decided it was time to finally get rid of my hemorrhoids once and for all. So I went back to the surgeon. However, he suggested that I should not have two hemorrhoids taken out at the same time because the pain and recovery will be too much.
So I scheduled for the days when I will have one taken out first and then the second a few months later. After the first surgery I must say that I was in shock not because of the pain I had but about how swollen up my anus area was. I was surprised that I was able to manage the pain even though I read a lot of horrible stories online about how horrific the after-surgery-pain was.
Don’t get me wrong, the pain was still quite intense in my case, it was not a walk in the park at all, it was real surgery with real pain. But I had a couple things under my sleeves to help me cope with the pain and to heal faster. Healing faster was my main goal because at that time I had two young children that needed me, even though my husband stayed home for the first week.
A couple things helped me heal much faster–RealHeal & Manuka Honey.
First of all, I took a homeopathic medicine call RealHeal to help my body to to heal faster. It is a homeopathic remedy that relieves pain, swelling and bruising after surgery or injury, as well as cramping, soreness and pain in joints and muscles. Homeopathy is a very unique system of medicine because the ingredients used are at levels that are understood to be non-toxic and without negative side effects, but the medicine is very effective.
I took RealHeal immediately after I got home from the out patient hemorrhoid surgery. I followed the instruction on the bottle and took the medicine as instructed for all three surgeries. I must say that my recoveries from those three surgeries really had sped up by this medicine, I won’t do without it for any surgery in the future.
At the same time during recovery I also used a topical Manuka honey product call Australian Manuka Honey Wound Management. It is a topical use of Manuka honey to help heal wound. Historically honey had been used for wound healing and it is nature’s best antibiotics.
So how did I end up with 3 surgeries for 2 hemorrhoids you may wonder. The first one that the surgeon operated on was not cut deep enough to remove all of the skin tag, so overtime the left over skin tag developed into a bigger hemorrhoid. Sigh…. so I had to go back for a third surgery to remove it again!
If you would like to have a faster hemorrhoid surgery recovery with less pain in order to get back to your normal life you need to check out these two products, RealHeal and Manuka Honey Wound Management.
